Indian bowlers who have the distinction of claiming five or more wickets in an innings thrice in New Zealand. They are Erapalli Prasanna and now Zaheer Khan. Zaheer achieved the feat with figures of five for 29 at Hamilton, five for 53 at Wellington – both in 2002 - and now five for 65 at Wellington.
6 – Number of catches taken by Mahendra Singh Dhoni in New Zealand’s first innings is the highest by an Indian wicket keeper. It surpassed the previous best of five catches held by Syed Kirmani, Nayan Mongia and Dhoni himself. Further, it also equals Indian record for the most dismissals in an innings that he now shares with Kirmani who had grabbed five catches and effected a stumping against New Zealand at Christchurch in 1976.

33 – Number of times Chris Martin has remained not out in his 48-match career with his latest unbeaten innings of four runs. He equaled the New Zealand record for the most unbeaten innings in a career, a record he now shares with yet another fast bowler Ewan Chatfield who had set the mark in his 43-Test career.
